THROUGH THE ROOF TRAINING CONFERENCE April 4 & 5, 2008 Excitement filled the air as people from 36 different Arizona churches, all passionate about reaching those affected by disability, attended the 5th annual Joni and Friends Through the Roof Training Conference. Keynote speaker, Renee Bondi, inspired everyone with her personal story of God's grace in the midst of disability. The Conference offered 19 workshops lead by some of the Valley's leading disability professionals and 22 exhibitors provided valuable resources. Watch for next year's time and place to be announced soon. Make plans to attend and bring others to the 2009 Through the Roof Conference.
FISHING WITH FRIENDS - THE ANGLERS ADVENTURES! February 23, 2008 What a fantastic day as over 1100 people affected by disability enjoyed the first ever day of fishing, fun and fellowship at Tempe Town Lake! Here are some of the comments we heard that day: “This is the first time that my son and I were able to go fishing”. “We have never had a chance to fish and have fun as a family”. “My daughter was so happy and it was fun spending time with her”. “I can’t believe this event is free and for us”. “I didn’t know about many of the resources, they will help our family”. “I met new friends”.
