On This Page: Who We Are: What We Do: Why We Do It: What You Can Do: Who We Are: We are people whose hearts and lives have been touched by God in some way that compels us to respond to the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of people with disabilities. We help local churches learn how to welcome them as full-fledged members of the body who participate in every way. What We Do: First, we help churches understand what God says about people with disabilities and then how to welcome them and empower them to become servants to others.
Second, we refer people with disabilities who have various needs to appropriate local churches so both can be blessed.
Third, we train faith-based and secular organizations serving the disability community about what churches offer so they will be able to make referrals through us to local churches who can minister with their clients.
To assist churches in ministering to the 350,000 in Greater Phoenix with severe disabilities (US Census Bureau) we provide:
Through the Roof: training programs for churches on various subjects
Family Retreats: a time of respite and spiritual encouragement for families
Special Delivery: free materials to use as gifts for outreach programs
Wheels for the World: opportunities for local and foreign personal involvement
Why We Do It: We believe Jesus Christ paid the penalty of everyoneís sin with his death on the cross. That is, he did not leave one person uncovered, no matter what a personís physical, emotional or mental condition might be. We have a responsibility to people without hope in ìback bedroomsî all over the world, beginning in Greater Phoenix, to bring them the everlasting hope found in Christ. What You Can Do: We have many opportunities to serve ranging from assisting in the office to reaching out in the community to people with disabilities.
