Joni and Friends Arizona is celebrating all the amazing things that God has done….immeasurably more than all we could have imagined! More and more Arizona churches are welcoming and including people affected by disability, families are rejuvenated and encouraged as they attend Family Retreat, and lives are changed as people with disabilities find hope in Christ and recognize their value and worth in the church and their communities.
God has done this through all of us working together!
But there is much more work to be done.
Did you know that everyday, thousands of individuals right here in Arizona face the challenges of living with a disability…a baby with down syndrome, a child diagnosed with autism, a grandparent with Alzheimer’s, an accident that has left a family member a quadriplegic, or even the emotional breakdown of a parent as he or she deals these challenging situations. When disability strikes, the entire family is affected and the rippling effects can be devastating.
God calls us to do something together!
As we continue in our 16th year of ministry here in Arizona, we are committed to fulfilling the Luke 14 mandate. Luke 14:22 commands us to “find the disabled and bring them in”. Why? So that God’s house might be full. Isn’t it incredible to know that your prayers, your time, your talents, and your gifts to Joni and Friends are changing the lives of people affected by disability and that you are filling God’s house!
